SMAS de Leiria, the management entity responsible for water supply and wastewater drainage in the municipality of Leiria, has marked in its Customer Service Counter of Loja de Cidadão de Leiria, the achievement of LAC certification - Leader in Customer Service, in the face-to-face channel.

Created in 1933, the SMAS in Leiria, has, since 2020, promoted the improvement of the service provided, adopting a Quality Management System that allowed the improvement of internal processes, the adequacy of human resources to the needs and specificities of the service quality perception, trust, customer proximity, and consequently move towards LAC certification.

This certification recognizes the implementation of best practices regarding face-to-face customer service, as well as the work that has been developed in providing an excellent service to citizens, and meets the strategy defined for the promotion of administrative modernization, and improving the quality of service in public services.
